This month I have to say has been an adventure. We had ~ 4 feet of snow in one week, Hadley turned 4 years old, we took a fun trip into Washington D.C., and we ended with a bought of gastro!!! We also found out that we will be moving to Germany..... Change is a coming in our neck of the woods. Alan is set to report on July 15th. We will be moving sometime in June. Hopefully, all of our family and friends will start a see Europe fund and come to see us as well. After the news has had a week or so to sink in I am getting more and more excited. I have loved Maryland more than I can say. Such a wonderful place to live and wonderful friends we have made.
This is a fun picture of most of us on Hadley's 4th birthday on the 20th. She still loves princess things and we spend a lot of our days dressed in princess clothes and shoes playing with polly pockets or "poppets" as we call them.
One of our good friends gave Hadley a couple pair of new butterfly wings, which was genius. Cooper couldn't wait to put a pair on and express the desire to fly up high. I am a little worried he might be jumping off the furniture soon.
Grant loved his first cupcake!!! We have a 41/2 minute video of this adventure. Way to cute to miss.
Cooper couldn't wait to have his own cupcake. This is weird because he really doesn't like sweets. Not motivated in the least by potty treats. Not at all like Hadley and myself, but exactly like Alan. Like father like son.
Hadley in her new dress, shoes, wings, and jewelry! Couldn't be any cuter. That's my sugars.
Hadley has a day just for her. We had pink pancakes for breakfast, pink cupcakes with pink icing for her party, pink paper to wrap the presents etc.... Pinkalicious was the name of the day per her request.
This is the "zoo" of the mall. Always a must see when we are there. We sent to the carousel on her birthday and on to the pet store.
This is the wonderful old carousel at the mall near our house. One of the favored things to do on a cold February day.
On our trip down to D.C. we visited the museum of natural history. This is actually the jewelry that Alan is getting me for our anniversary in April... haha I am just hoping we can go out on a great date. Bing would be a wonderful surprise or maybe a new van.. Alan are you listening : )
Hadley and Cooper at the museum. They loved seeing all of the animals!!
We went to the butterfly exhibit and saw the largest butterflies I have ever seen. Isn't Cooper the cutest getting as close as he could without hurting the poor thing.
How often do you see the national mall covered with snow and empty! Once in a lifetime.
Our family at the end of our wonderful adventure living so near Washington D.C.
King of the Hill!!!! Cooper on a mound of snow. This was part of the parking lot at our condo complex. He didn't want to go inside. Hadley was done in just a few minutes.
